for Character Creater

This document reflects the original game concept. Changes have been made to the game-in-progress to allow for it's creation.

Introduction


Overview:
Character Creation is a 3D single player tool focused on customizing character models.  The goal is to create an intuitive game that gives users the freedom and content to create any character they could imagine. Think of a 3D Sims 4 CAS or HeroForge combined with City of Heroes Hero Creation, but with even more options and content.

 

Key Features:

  • Build characters from 5 extremely different base models

  • Click-and-Drag editing of height and individual proportions

  • 2 levels of editing complexity for every character feature, not just their face

  • Mix-and-Match from skeletal, musculature, and normal skin options

  • Real-time click-and-drag movement of skin, fur, and cloth patterns

  • Create dynamic poses with your character

  • Streamlined UI for quick intuitive game play

 

3rd Party Software:

  • Currently developed on the Unity

  • Character model options to be created using Photoshop

Sound/Music

Style Attributes: Instrumental pieces to match different “world” options.

Ex: Western music starts when the western UI option or a western background is selected.

Should also give player ability to manually select the genre.

Controls:

Left mouse click selects menus, options, and model parts.
Left mouse click and drag changes the dimensions of the character model.
Middle Wheel zooms the camera forward or backwards
Right mouse click and drag causes the camera to rotate around the character.
Esc button opens the Options Menu

 

Marketing

Target Audience:

The target audience of this game will be RPG (tabletop and computer), and simulation players, from 15 to 30 years old. However, it will appeal to anyone who spends a long time in the character creation section of a game. It can also be used as a tool for artists and animators who want character references, or writers looking for a character inspiration.

Add an RPG character creation mode with multiple tabletop games. (will probably need licenses from publishers)

  • Allows players to create a game character mode

  • Include character sheets and stats which will be filled out over the course of the game

  • Customize their power/spell look, animations, and final pose

  • Would be tailored to the game setting and include (these things would also be added to the normal play mode)

  • Lore appropriate clothes and accessories

  • Lore based races (with the option of making custom races)

  • Game classes (if applicable, and allow for custom classes)
